International Radar Consultants is comprised of a group of consultants specialising in the design and construction of novel GPR systems and geophysical sensors associated with 'Ground Penetration Radar (GPR). The consultants have expertise in the design, construction, data handling and software associated with these types of systems, and have been major contributors to the development of many original sensors in the GPR world.

Applications for these technologies range from detection of hidden and buried military targets, to location of buried archeological artifacts.

The company is headed by Dr Roger S. Vickers, who is known internationally for contributions to imaging GPR systems and for forest and ground penetration applications. The company was founded by Dr. Vickers in 1998, and has worked with both the US and Canadian governments and also with private companies in the development and field demonstration of sophisticated sensor systems.

The company's goals are to provide innovative solutions to the problems of detecting and identifying targets, both military and civilian, which have been concealed from view by either burial or other means. The company's staff have had extensive experience in detecting and mapping landmines, tunnels, drug facilities as well as buried valuables and utilities.
